On June 6, 2018, Vice President Jennifer Scoones proudly presented the William Scott (Hooson) Coleman Memorial Scholarships, of $100 each , to two deserving students: Meghan Doris and Katie Getman, graduating students of Clinton Central School. Meghan will be attending Adelphia University this Fall and will be studying nursing. Katie will be attending Syracuse University and studying graphic design. Congratulations to two very deserving students.

Thank you to all those CMHS members who have generously donated toward the scholarship fund. Each year, the Society has given a scholarship to a deserving student and this year we have given $100 each to 2 students. We hope to continue this in the future.

We had a great meeting last night! Thank you to Rebecca McClain of the Oneida County History Center for the interesting and really informative presentation about the Center and all that they offer.

We definitely recommend visiting our friends at Oneida County History Center at 1608 Genesee St in Utica.

It was nice to see new faces and hope to see more in the future. We have a great group!

On Sunday, Feb. 25th, the Society will be joining the Westmoreland Historical Society for a program on the 1954 plane crash in Walesville . Meeting will be held at 2pm in the Westmoreland Town Hall. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

We hope you can join us and bring along your recollections of the events of that fateful day.

On October 18, 2017, the Clark Mills Historical Society celebrated it’s 25 year anniversary. We had a wonderful turnout for the occasion.Everyone enjoyed the pizza, salad and cake.

Our Founder, Barbara Traver was unable to be with us as she was headed out of state for her granddaughter’s wedding, but Barb wanted to wish the Society her heartiest congratulations for 25 successful years.
